Gas Cost a Leg and an Armie: Star Forced to Sell Vehicle

In an emotional Instagram video, disgraced Hollywood star Armie Hammer revealed he’s parting ways with his 2017 GMC Sierra Denali, citing the exorbitant cost of fuel.

The once-promising actor, who was a central figure in HBO’s House of Hammer, found himself in hot water in 2021 after several ex-girlfriends accused him of sexual assault and unsettling fantasies involving cannibalism. One ex, Courtney Vucekovich, claimed Hammer wanted to break and barbecue her ribs.

In the video, shot in front of a CarMax, Hammer laments the staggering cost of gas, declaring he can no longer justify the $400 to $500 expense. He’s downsizing to a more practical ride and shared that his kids were less than thrilled about saying goodbye to the truck.

Hammer hasn’t worked as an actor since 2021’s Death on the Nile, when allegations of sexual misconduct emerged. While the once-promising star maintains his innocence, and no criminal charges were filed, the damning testimony from several ex-girlfriends and his former wife makes a comeback to his former glory seem unlikely. His past roles in acclaimed films like The Social Network and Call Me by Your Name seem a distant memory.

The video also showcases a few choice items, including peptomismal and a rope in the central console. Not exactly the ideal accessories to flaunt when your reputation involves BDSM and cannibalism. Hopefull Hammer can learn to love his new Hybrid. The actor turns 38 today August 28th.
