P Diddy Stinks
LOS ANGELES (CB) — Sean "Diddy" Combs has released an apology after a 2016 video was released by CNN that shows Combs punching, kicking, and shoving his then-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura. Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura sued Combs for assault in November, with the suit being settled the next day. This led to a slew of lawsuits against Combs, culminating with a raid on his Los Angeles and Miami mansions, as it was revealed there is an ongoing federal sex-trafficking investigation taking place against the mogul. In his apology, Combs admits to the beating and shares that his actions were inexcusable, and he is truly sorry. Diddy maintains that the additional allegations against him are not true and unfounded.
Sean "Diddy" Combs is not sorry about what he did. He is extremely sorry that the alleged $50,000 he paid for this video were not enough to keep it from seeing the light of day. Which begs the larger question, where was the video, and why are we just seeing it now? CNN is refusing to say how they obtained the March 5th, 2016 video. It is worth noting that in September 2016, Sean 'Diddy' Combs sat down with Chloe Melas of CNN Business for an in-depth interview. The interview is no longer available, but a write-up can still be found on CNN Money.
The assault captured by the hotel is alarming, and the allegations shared by other people against Diddy are equally appalling. Combs's apology is extremely disingenuous and hollow. But let's jump back to why we are just seeing this now. There is an old saying that if it sounds like a fart and smells like a fart, it's probably a fart (might actually be about ducks). My friends, P. Diddy is a fart, and CNN stinks. The fact that they worked with Combs shortly after the incident and will not share when and how they obtained the video does not pass muster, but it does pass gas.
